Working on Booklet

Where do you get a Legal California State ID card from?
The Department of Motor Vehicles.
Well, We all don’t drive motor vehicles. And at some point church and state separated a long time ago...
What if there was such a thing as
The Department of Identification?
What if this new ID was more like a name badge. You could whip it out to introduce yourself and still use if for legal purposes. If you lost it it wouldn’t be a big deal. Hey if you found one on the ground you’d return it to the post office where they can scan it and return it to your address. What if you could add money to your id number and use this to pay while you commute. Hey what if and why not?

Running Low On Doe
I ran to the light rail, bought a white board when I got onto campus. Got to class on time at 12:30 and now I am typing this. I saw this really cool pencil holder, perfect size! But the colors were ugly by Agatha Ruiz De La Prada and it cost 9.99 + tax. I plan to return my laptop case it cost me about 59+ so that should help. I don't know how to carry myself. I try to bring the things that I need to carry but it still feels like a lot to carry. I'm returning it because putting all that stuff in adds up to something I don't want to have on my shoulder. I was thinking I might go back to a light backpack.
Todays purchases of the day went to...
-20.00 (cash) Gas for el caro
-10.20 (debit) White Board at University Art, the student book store
+59.80 (debit) Returned laptop case
but turned around and bought...
-41.30 (cash) Cd case and let me show you why...

I kept the sheets that come inside the cds. But wow, I have got more space now. Recycle, it feels good.

The 11th Hour

You know what would make this an even better blog!? I'll get back to this question after you read this...
After having seen the movie the 11th hour and thinking about it. I realized that all the talking the speakers did, did bore me a bit. Although it was important to learn, the message was lacking. I know in my mind it will not reach across to others who were not willing to see it in the first place. "Preaching to the choir" I think the people who watched this film were already sympathetic towards global warming before the movie. So what did I get out of this movie? Few things. The solutions they were showing didn't seem to fit where I was living or it felt like it would reach my home in the next decade. I felt a little helpless as to just wait my turn when it becomes available to buy it or upgrade to it. Like what can I do? What I liked about the movie was its point about industrial design. From now on, designers need to design with_ where it comes from, what is it made of, where will it go after its gone in mind.
I want to stop driving something that costs me $40 dollars to fill every week and to stop being so dependent on things that should be free like transportation, insurance, college, and health care.
Its funny because I use to think, when I was young, we are the generation that has to know more than the last. And I just thought that sucked and made my life harder. My parents might seem like they know or knew a lot but I have to know what they know and more. And somethings change here and there. Pluto is no longer a planet. Facts change or alter. Knowledge is power, Not, Action proves power. And you can quote me on that.
We have to take action.
And it some way this ties into the movie. There was a part in the movie where a woman says when we buy its like saying we approve of this. But its not true. I just can't stop buying gas. Its almost impossible. I can't ride my bike 15+ miles twice a day (checked Google Maps just now) especially not on the freeway. Can't imagine myself doing it during the pouring raining either. Plus I'll need about 2 or 3 hours do get to the next city. Honestly I care sometimes what people think but I shouldn't let that stop me from what I think is good for my community and the bay area.
Anyways to make this blog even better I will mark my purchases. Maybe reading over my purchase should wake me up. I only have 36 dollars currently in my bank account and I've been using cash that I've been saving up to pay someone for my supplies in photo class. But we have not received them yet.
Todays purchases of the day went to...
-16.00 (cash) 2 tickets to see the 11th Hour at the Rheem Theatre in Moraga, CA

Martyr Hot Sause

My adventures in photography are expanding. I created this label Fall 2006 at Chabot college. I change a few things now and printed it out and pasted it onto a hot sause bottle I had in my kitchen cabinet. Took some photos of it. Not excatly a self portrait but it is my work.
Look carefully at my dye cut abilities with a blade around the top edge.

About To Kill Some Kids In The Library

My favorite place to chill has been spoiled. Some kids probably from a local lower grade high school where playing in this room in the library being loud and obnoxious. A guy came over to the room and told them to be quite. And in their responds they mocked his words and closed the door on him. I closed my notebook walked over told them to shut the fuck up and went to the front desk and told the man at the desk. Then behind me they all walked out of the room try to escape the persecution. Little bitches. I need to start carrying a knife or something. Sometimes I feel like stabbing people.
Anyways these kids need a slap in the face. They were very disrespectful and their parents should do some better parenting. Call Nanny 911 or something. Perhaps they are just as annoying as their kids. A bad endless cycle of fuck ups so thats whats wrong with the world today. Not enough respect and guidance. Same goes for Britney Spears.

A Porfolio In The Making

I have been inspired again. My boyfriend made this really cool portfolio and I would like to start something on my own now. We went to a museum today together and to the Blick store in Berkley. Bought myself a new portfolio in 8.5 x 11 inch format, Itoya. Very simple black, inserts in the side and pocket inside. The one I really wanted was 31 dollars so I settled for the 6 dollar one.
Consistency has always been an enemy of mine. What I need to do is make the work and then put it together. From there I can make it better.

My boyfriend went to his job interview today. I am so happy and proud of him. I stayed up until 2 am helping him make his portfolio look presentable. I went to class on time. It was an interesting and long lecture/activity. My instructor Yvonne Williams is pretty cool.

I Wish It Was Monday Already

I am looking forward to Mondays. I am tired of work. My sleeping habits are way off to make matters worse. Today is my boyfriends' birthday he just turned 25. I am not reminded of how I will age myself. I am starving.

The Shop And My Breakdown

I feel like crap right now. I feel as though I have gotten this far into being accepted by the university and still have not improved since high school. I just took a multiple choice test for "The Shop". Apparently if you do not pass it, you can not use the workshop. I felt positive that I could pass it because I deal with safety on a daily basis and I know how to use most of the machinery. Anyways I missed 4 and you can only miss 3 on the test. So they give you the option of taking the test again right now or taking it sometime before next Thursday. So I take it again since its fresh in my head and they tell you the ones you missed. Now this one is a fill in the blank and multiple choice so I wind up missing 6 on this one, even worse!
The hand out they give you covers some of the rules but most of the questions come from the video which they tell you to take notes during. You watch the video once then you take the quiz right afterward. I barely read the first page on the hand out before they started the video. I feel like I'm complaining too much but this does bother me quite a lot! Now I have to bring an instructor with me at all times when I go to check things out or use the facilities. Which is a bunch of crap. Why can't I take this test every few weeks or so? What is the point of having the presents of an instructor while you work every time? To remind you how much you fucked up on that test?
I guess I'm more aware how valuable passing the test is but I'll just have to study until next semester when I can take it again. I feel like I can't doing anything! I feel totally helpless right now. Whatever there is to study is not enough, just this hand out which only has the easy stuff. All the details are on the video. I've looked online for more but its not enough. My notes look like shit and I don't know what some of them mean. I don't want to blame myself but it looks like I'll have to.
I'm ready to move on to something else now, like eating food or sleeping.

My Vista Views

Yesterday I fixed up my Windows Calender. I am pretty impressed, I don't think I need to buy another planner for a long time or ever. I can put my work schedule, my class schedule, and other important events. I'm so glad I have this notebook. The cool thing about Vista and it's many little things, is the way you view things. Tiles, Details, Lists, Small Icons, Medium Icons, and Large Icons. Its a nice feature. Not Sure about the panels, but getting use to handling them. They are under Organize > Layout > (3 choices and they can all be combined in any way) Detail, Navigation, and Preview Pane. Depending on what you are doing these are pretty handy but sometimes it's just too much. Choosing 1 or 2 of these are good enough.
Not worth going out and buying immediately but good to have if you ever buy a new computer or upgrading.

Did I Find Gold Or Did I Just Dig Myself A Hole?

I woke up late for school. I was so angry at myself and my boyfriend. I hate waking up late that is a huge pet peeve of mine. I went to class about 40 minutes late! And the room was dark and locked? Did I miss the class? Looked at my watch. Did they leave class early? Maybe they are looking at the galleries? I went to a few of the galleries in the art building (should have went to all of them, but I didn't have the most comfortable shoes on). So did I just get lucky or did I just screw up badly. I wish I had someone's email address. I gave mine out but forgot to gather some.
I've decided for next time, I will have class around 8AM and end all classes at around 3PM. Four classes minimum. Some Photo classes and some Interior Design classes. And also see a counselor before then.

Genre

Currently "Cooking" or "Baking" not sure. I have a "roast" in the oven. Now thinking of what to do or what songs I want to carry around with me in my notebook. I love it! Except that my touching it makes it look dirty. I try to wash my hands often-- Which Reminds Me! I need to buy more hand soap for the bathroom, a water holder for school, and fabrics for class.
I have these music files that come from different sources. So I try to organize them by genre. I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not, but it helps. I have over 200 files in one genre and like 6 in another. How can I organize this!? Should I just load them all into one folder? Go by size? Go by rating? File Name?
